I plan on pairing the two dresses with a pair of  flats and a short-sleeved cardigan to casual them down, then I would wear a pair of heels and sheer or opaque to dress them up! See, they are the perfect dresses. Plus the qt instrument print on Dress No 1 does help maintain the “prefect dress” factor. I just hope they do not sell out of extra smalls (smalls, in the case of Dress No 2) before I’m able to make my purchase. I would seriously be crushed.

Now I am not a fan of “netbooks”. They are a great idea, but I honestly do not see the need for them. And while Sony said their P line aren’t exactly netbooks, I can only them in that light. It’s 8 inches with a kicking WiFi connection and a 8 hour battery. Isn’t that a netbook? Though, again, it is gorgous machine. But do I think it’s worth the asking price of $900? Well I haven’t decided. What do you think?

• Audrey Hepburn — Audrey appears to be everyone’s icon because she is so timeless. She also proved that beauty can also be simple and effortless.
• Zooey Deschanel — Honestly her clothes are just so fun and cute, and Zooey’s makeup is always done to a tee. I am pretty jealous.
• Jenny Lewis — Jenny may be short, but she is not afraid to show some leg.

10 Things about My Style

• I like to keep things simple.  I shouldn’t have to go over-the-top just to be “stylish”.
• It’s definitely quality over quantity. Yeah, I could go buy twenty $10 items from Forever 21. Or I could use that money to buy a decent pair of leather booties.
• Effortless is the way to go. Everything I wear should just seem natural for me. If I have to think about a possible outfit for over 10 minutes, it’s a no-go.
• Hey, while I am speaking about natural–! I’ll never overload my face with a lot of eyeshadow etc. My goal is to not look like a MAC employee clown. I’m just happy with a bit of foundation, blush and mascara.
• I love love love color! While I do love black and white, I could never give up color. I need the reds, blues and the rest of the rainbow. Otherwise, I might just die.
• Cardigans are a must.
• Sheer black tights are also a must. Don’t argue with me because I will not stand down. With a pair of black heels, they make your legs look good.
• Denim only belong with on pants. I don’t want to wear on a jacket or skirt or hat. I am good with pants, definitely if they are a darker wash.
• Now that I finished my oxford heels collection, I need these two pairs of shoes (1, 2) in my life now … no exceptions. (Oh, I see one pair is on sale. Score!)
• Just say no to long shorts. If they reach my knees, I do not want to wear them.

See! Aren’t these mackintoshes just absolutely magnificent? Currently I am leaning towards  number one and three mostly because either plain simplify — the former — or old fashioned goodness — the latter. Still I cannot help but love the military inspiration of the fourth, and the second is interesting! Who knows which one I will end up purchasing, but — ASDFGHJKL;’ — it’s fun to figure it out. In my last entry, I listed my favorite albums from 2008. I forgot to mention Lenka’s self titled debut. I reviewed her album a couple months back, if you can recall it. I am actually quite annoyed I did that. Forgive me? ♥

Albums

• Jenny Lewis, Acid Tongue – When you treat an album recording like a gathering of friends, this is what you get — a cool, mellow LP perfect for general relaxation and thought.
• We Are Scientists, Brain Thrust Mastery – They are farther proof that it’s okay to have fun creating music.
• The Hush Sound, Goodbye Blues – Every time I listen to them, I am surprised that they are signed to Decaydance. They are definitely don’t fit the Pete Wentz mold, and I love it.
• The Submarines, Honeysuckle Weeks – They have the ability to make even the coldest person believe in love again.
• Girls Aloud, Out of Control – I shamelessly love this album (minus the last two tracks). I could never deny this fact.
• The Bird and the Bee, Ray Guns Are Just Not the Future - I feel like I am transported to a 1960 futuristic world filled with fashionable persons who speak Japanese every time I listen to this album. It’s a must buy in 2009.
• Stars, Sad Robot – Without any doubt, they achieved perfection with this six song EP.
• Via Audio, Say Something x 3 – This album was released in 2007, though I did not discover them until 2008. I wish them great success; they deserve it.
• Coldplay, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends – After this album, I can no longer hate on Coldplay. I believe it’s quite the accomplishment.
• Lykke Li, Youth Novel - I was able to understand the hype around Lykke Li. I am glad I did, overwise I would have missed out on a fantastic debut record.

Overall, I thought it was a great year in music.

I have fully done an artist recommendation in the longest time. Luckily, to make up for it, I am featuring a talented lady named Molly Marlette. She’s a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Her debut EP, The Allumette, is a quirky mix of pop and folk and, no matter what the topic, manages to have an upbeat melody. She’s overall delightful. Plus, for an extra case of adorableness, she voiced Selphie for the Kingdom Hearts series!

It is now December. That can only mean Christmas and other winter holidays, and that means wishlists galore! I love putting together my holiday list, even if I only get one or two things from it. For example, this year, I only asked for a record player from Crosley via Urban Outfitters. My father was surprised that they still produced vinyl records — he, totally, is not with it. It is absolutely entertaining, y’know? Nevertheless, I do have my dream list to show you guys!

#1 Rendez-Vous by Paul & Joe Sister Normandy Cape (here)
I have always wanted a cape; I believe they are one of the classiest articles of clothing ever. It would be perfect outerwear for me if I actually lived in a city with a winter. Maybe after it goes wayyy on sale and I move to Massachusetts, I’ll buy it. But since I am “stuck” in Vegas until I transfer to a four year university/college, I shouldn’t “waste” my money.

#2 Natural Sunlight Dress (here)
There is nothing like a short dress, definitely when you are under 5 feet 5 like I am. Also I do not own a single strapless dress. In all honesty, I only own one dress. This fact saddens me deeply; I love dresses so much. Anyway, I think this would make a wonderful start to a magnificent collection! I can’t wait until it goes on sale. Hopefully, my local Anthropologie or, at least, the online store will size 0s left at the end of the season.

This was one of my favorite albums of 2008. I don’t think there is much else I could say about this. So, I am going to stop now, and you can fill out any blanks I could possibly have left with this statement. You can thank me later, okay?

#4 An Apple MacBook, for the love of god (here)
I worship a company you may call Apple Inc. I would love to see a MacBook under my Christmas tree this year, but the possibility of that happening is very slim. The thought of this utterly depresses me. Hopefully by Summer 2009, I’ll have one. I am just praying that it is sooner rather than later. If that is the case, I might as well ~die~. Haha, I am not that crazy.

It’s pretty neat, imo. It is built to fit up to a 17″ Macbook Pro, and you can wear it eight different ways. I personally prefer options number five and six, the courier styles. Also, The bag is made in Italy using premium leather and cotton canvas. Of course, with every great quality bag, you have to look at the price tag. And this will set you back a great deal. Right now, the markers are selling it for the low price of 349 Euros. So, yeah, it would take me about five paychecks to pay for this. Hahaha.

The Bird and the Bee – Love Letter to Japan

Here is a new song from The Bird and the Bee’s upcoming album Ray Guns Are Not Just The Future. It is definitely more catchy than My Love, and it slightly have the same feel as Polite Dance Song. I highly recommend it. Enjoy.

It has been awhile since I used my wishlist category. I don’t have a clue what that is, but I thought today would be a good time to use it! The pieces are from, as stated, Erin Fetherston Fall 2008. Of course, I didn’t state the collection it was from, but I’m sure it’s not hard to guess. I like winter florals quite a lot; you can see why I would covert these. There isn’t much else to it. Hahaha.

Normally I dislike any slogan tee shirt, with or without political means. And “Fuck Off Sarah Palin” isn’t exactly the most mature thing to wear. Nevertheless, I do like it for reasons that can easily be explained. The first one is super simple: I don’t like Sarah Palin or the ideas she represents. The second reason is I think the creator of the shirts really summed up my feelings quite well. The other reasons, well, you can say are very environmentally friendly!
